Scott Loventhal is a Partner and the Director of Development/Acquisitions with Garden Homes Development, Short Hills, NJ. Scott has more than 20 years of experience with Garden Homes Development in the areas of acquisitions, land use entitlements, re-development, finance, construction and management of residential, retail, commercial and mixed-use projects throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Scott is responsible for the day to day management of a team of acquisition, development, marketing, and construction personnel.

Scott practiced real estate law for several years prior to his role at Garden Homes, specializing in transactional real estate and land use before transitioning into real estate development.

Additionally, Scott serves as the Chair of the Parent Advisory Council at the University of Maryland and is the Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the JCHC, a non-profit senior housing organization.

Scott holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in Urban Studies – Real Estate Development and Finance and earned a Juris Doctorate Degree from New York Law School. He resides in suburban NJ with his wife Ellen and their 3 children Mara, Chad (a current student at the University of Maryland) and Kyle.
